I think it is good to keep the old and take the best of the new... moreover the change is not very obvious..I guess it is only the spelling to many...

As far as I've observed in bangalore, people are still using the same old name even after renaming it. Guru avru heLidh hAge change wasn't that obvious anasthe.. HAhe nAnu kooda bangalore anthane use madodhu :P

Wat I feel is Bangalore is no more jus Bangalore...its a brand in itself..
I don see the reason for change..
Nor do I see 'the change'.
ಸ್ವಾಮಿ ಇನ್ನೂ ಅಧಿಕೃತವಾಗಿ ಹೆಸರು ಬದಲಾಗಿಲ್ಲ.
ಅಷ್ಟಕ್ಕೂ ಹೆಸರು ಬದಲಾದ ಮಾತ್ರಕ್ಕೆ ಏನೋ ಬದಲಾವಣೆ ಆಗತ್ತೆ ಅಂತ ಅಪೇಕ್ಷೆ ಪಡೋದ್ರಲ್ಲಿ ಅರ್ಥ ಇಲ್ಲ.
It is just bringing back the originality of the city in name.
ಬ್ರಿಟಿಷರಿಗೆ ನಾಲಗೆ ತಿರುಗದೇ ನಮ್ಮ ಊರುಗಳ ಹೆಸರನ್ನೆಲ್ಲಾ ಕುಲಗೆಡಿಸಿದರು. ಅದನ್ನೇ ನಾವು ಇಷ್ಟು ವರ್ಷ ಇಂಗ್ಲೀಷಿನ ಹೆಸರುಗಳು ಅಂತ ಇಟ್ಕಂಡು ಮೆರಿತಿದಿವಿ. fooish Indians. It is very strange that there are people who oppose the renaming(infact correcting) the places.
its me who logs in everywhere only to find anything about Bangalore :-)
